James Bruce Harder, ’67

James Bruce Harder, ’63, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012.  He was from Omaha, Nebr. and was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Erna Harder and infant sister Beth Ann Harder.  He is survived by wife Diane Harder and daughters, Laura (John) Herbolsheimer and Jana Harder.  His siblings are  Roger (Raquel) Harder, Charles (Peggy) Harder, Jeryl (Linda) Harder, Barbara (Jack) Manuele, Brenda (Phil) Hilty and Janis (Jon) Dirks.  He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

    My brother Jim is greatly missed by his family and many others. He died as a result of a bizzare trucking accident at a loading dock. I’ve always thought of him as ‘my brother with the heart of pure gold’. He was always helping someone. His last act on earth was to push a dock worker out of the way before he himself was killed. We know that this accident did not surprise God, and so we take comfort in His care for those of us that remain.
